On January 18, good new came from the Luxiang Road-Qilianshan Road connection project, which runs through the north-south of Baoshan District in Shanghai and connects with the urban area, and the Qilianshan Road Bridge was opened to traffic smoothly.
The Qilianshan Road Bridge, which was successfully opened to traffic this time, adopted a steel structure cable-stayed bridge as the main body. The main span of the steel bridge is 132 meters long and the total weight is about 3,600 tons. The shape of the bridge adopts a sail-shaped tower column composed of longitudinal double columns, which means "sail sails".
Guide lighting created the night view of the Qilianshan Bridge. The bridge at night is magnificent and star-studded, making it a landmark building on Qilianshan Road.
"This project is very difficult. It is the first cable-stayed bridge in Baoshan District. To maintain the normal navigation of the Weizaobang under the bridge, the main girder of the project is installed using the domestically advanced multi-point walking jacking technology." Said Shen Xia, chief engineer of China No. 5 Metallurgical Shanghai Communications Municipal Corporation. With the concern of all parties, the contractor fought against the intense heat, severe cold, typhoon, and epidemic situation, rushed for construction time, focused on quality, and ensured safety, and presented this uniquely shaped bridge to the general public as scheduled.
It is reported that the Qilianshan Road Bridge is a major project in Shanghai and a major livelihood project in Baoshan District. After it is completed and open to traffic, it will bring more convenience to the general public, and it will also better serve the local economic and social development.
