On April 12th, a team of lecturers  and students majoring in art and lighting design jointly established by Guide Lighting and the Art School of Shandong University of Finance and Economics went to Zaozhuang, Shandong to investigate and study local night lighting art. 

This practical course is "Lighting Comprehensive Curriculum Design", which mainly allows students to understand the relationship between lamps and light distribution in practice, master the method of light distribution, reasonably select light sources, lamps and lighting methods, and accurately determine the installation position, illumination angle and Light-proof measures, avoid light pollution, and give full play to the reasonable application of lamps in indoor and outdoor functional lighting and decorative lighting. 

Guide Group specially invited Mr. Wu Zhenwei, a master of landscape lighting design, and teachers and students majoring in art lighting design to go to the ancient city of Taierzhuang for field investigation and learn the current situation of local cultural tourism night tour lighting. The ancient city of Taierzhuang combines "Canal Culture" and "Taierzhuang War Culture" as one city, and "Qilu Pride" and "Jiangnan Charm" as one domain. It is the only historical and cultural city on the banks of the Beijing-Hangzhou Ancient Canal, where the north and the south and the Chinese and the West blend together. It is also One of the representative regions with better night travel economy development in Shangdong Province.

Professor Wu Zhenwei led the students along the central square of the ancient city to comment on the lighting characteristics of the building, the application of lighting techniques and the integration with the environment according to the visiting route. 

In 2019, Guide Lighting aims to create the light environment of an ecological city, enhance the characteristic cultural charm of the city, and enhance the vitality and taste of the city. Based on the principles of environmental protection, people-oriented, and sustainable development, the night scene lighting of the core area of ​​the new city of Zaozhuang is carried out. The overall planning and design of Zaozhuang High-speed Railway Station, Guishan, Jinniuling, Dexin Plaza, Hanjing Mingzuo, Nanbei Building of Juran’s Home, Anqiao International Office Building, Ongli Building and other landmark buildings will be illuminated at night. The night view of the street scene has created a rich, harmonious and unified overall image. After the completion of the project, Zaozhuang New City presents a magnificent night view, which makes the new city more prosperous at night, enhances the city image of Zaozhuang, and promotes the night economy, which has been widely praised. 

After the field teaching of the night tour of the ancient city cultural tourism, the students also went to the lighting factory to learn about lamps and lanterns. From the campus "small classroom" to the social "large classroom", the students gained a lot. University business collaboration to cultivate professional talents, which makes up for the current scarcity of art and lighting design professionals in the current market.
